As a part of the RFBR project “Unravelling the metabolomic changes in barley seedlings after gamma-irradiation of seeds”, from April 16 to April 30, Volkova Polina, the leading researcher of the Institute, was trained on the metabolic platform of the Jean-Pierre Bourgin Institute (IJPB) in France, which is a structural division of the National Institute for Agricultural Research of France (INRA).

Polina Volkova got acquainted with modern approaches to the analysis of plant metabolome and performed a metabolomic study of seedlings of irradiated barley seeds. During the visit, Polina familiarized herself with the IJPB equipment complex and the main techniques that allow working with the Arabidopsis thaliana model plant.
